If I had to sum up this book in one sentence, it would be: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
Frankenstein is a morality tale that... bored me to death. I bet you were waiting for a passionate account on why I only gave a 2-star rating to this world-class-litterary-classic. Na-uh. Not gonna happen. While this book has its merits (let's not forget it was written by an 18-year-old Shelley), it simply didn't send shivers down my spine (which was what I was expecting).

The audiobook was long and drawn, the movie was long and drawn, the narration was excellent. I felt sorry for the monster but really felt like slapping Dr. F for such a horrifying thing to have done and then to abandon him. The man/monster posed a good question...."do I have a soul?" And then to do it again with Mary....good lord.
I've never cared for horror and this just makes the case for me. ...more
