Why did I wait so long to read this book? my first foray into the works of Stephen King was The Stand, which I felt was boring and overwritten. The Shining was great. This is the first time I've ever been scared by a book. Thought about putting in in the freezer, but thought my iPad might not like that. I hope Doctor Sleep is half as good as The Shining.

A mixture of reality and fantasy, with a horrifyingly captivating entity that demands attention from the people it traumatizes. A delightfully possessive, and savagely aggressive creature with beguiling charm and cunning. Truly an intimidating monster for anyone to have as advisory.
