What Members Thought
Yes - its a great book - beautifully written. And yes - i wanted to throw it out the window and run out of the room screaming. Who is he writing for? Its all so much navel gazing and much ado about about a lot of fin de siecle - gilded nothing (which i admit kept me reading at times - it's just so so camp). I wonder if its the Davis translation or perhaps it is more tolerable to read in French. I heard a lot of the epic sentences make more sense read aloud. There are great things here - especial
