I knew Sins and Needles was going to be great. I mean, knowing that her inspiration for Camden McQueen was this guy, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this! My expectations were high because Halle's "Experiment in Terror" series is my favorite adult series, hands down. With Sins & Needles, Halle did not disappoint. I was floored and blown away with how fantastically addictive it was. I absolutely loved it. I'm officially obsessed with The ...more

LOVED IT! No book makes it faster to my favorites shelf than one with a unconventional fatally flawed hero. Karina Halle has written a great one with Camden McQueen. How else to explain how an effeminate, black lipstick wearing, Goth teenager morphs into a pierced, tattooed (ok, that is expected) horned rimmed glasses wearing, Dumbo eared (admit it…unexpected) tattoo artist hottie. (Anyone familiar with Dex, from the author’s EIT series knows how wonderfully, unconventional her heroes can be.)

Incredible characters, unique story, amazing storytelling....twists, turns and an overall incredible plot. I couldn't get enough and was SAD when I saw that I was approaching the end of the book. I didn't want it to end. I have a new favorite author!!! I'll be reading everything Karina Halle writes! BRILLIANCE!

I don't even know how to put it into words. I DEVOURED this book. I read it in one sitting. From the minute I started, I had to know what was going on with Ellie and why her life was the way it was.
Ellie was raised by con artists. Naturally, that is the path she follows. It's all she's ever known. She decides that she wants to start fresh and change her ways...she thinks. She moves back to the only home she's ever known. While there she runs into the only person she has ever ...more

A la The Lock Artist. Though I seem to be comparing every book I read to that one lately. This is a 4.5 stars for sure. Heavy on the romance, but doesn't forget the plot along the way. It doesn't have the subtlety of The Lock Artist, or some of the nuance with the characters, but hey it's a romance so perhaps it isn't needed. Halle's protagonist is more in your face. The writing is pretty em...direct...there's no insinuation going on. As a reader you know what's happening, sometimes in perhaps a
