EDIT 12/22/12 SO happy Tarryn released this bad boy early. I wasn't sure what to expect especially with that crazy bomb on the very first page ah but I loved it. Did I love Leah? Ha no. But the book was perfect and it ended exactly how I wanted it to. How am I going to get through these next months waiting for Caleb's POV???
I've read a lot of books lately but none have affected me like The Opportunist. It has been four months since I read it and I still randomly dwell on the book. I was thrille ...more

After reading this book:
I want to call Leah every bad word in the bad word dictionary.
I love Caleb.
I missed Olivia DEARLY as I read this book.
I love Olivia more.
I enjoyed this story. I'm a sucker for villains and I think Tarryn did a great job with Leah's character. I'm glad I read it and I'm VERY anxious to read Caleb's POV. ...more

TEN amazeballs stars.
Where do I even begin. I don't know how she does it but Tarryn Fisher grabs me emotionally when I read her books. I sit for days and days afterwards wondering, thinking, pondering...ACTING as if these characters are real!!!
Dirty Red was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. I feared that she was going to make me "like" Leah. And yet...she managed to paint the most perfect villainess ever. If it's possible, I hate Leah so much that I like her. Just not with Caleb ...more

Yup. Just let that sink in for a moment.
So when I heard that Tarryn Fisher was going to write the 2nd book in this series from Leah’s POV I thought I might have a coronary. Leah is evil incarnate. She is the devil in the blue dress. If ‘The Opportunist’ was a trainwreck then ‘Dirty Red’ was a terrorist attack.
“I have done a number of things to keep this man. I have lied and cheated. I have been sexy and meek, fierce and vulnerable. I have been everything but myself.”
Do I hate Leah? You betcha! ...more

I'm so conflicted with this one. I absolutely loved "The Opportunist", but Dirty Red just didn't stir the same emotions for me.
First of all, my dislike for Leah has not wavered. I thought it might since this was her POV, but no. If anything it intensified it. I HATED Leah and how she used her child like a pawn. It drove me insane and it was at times hard for me to read.

Leah, Leah, Leah...you evil, caniving b*+#h!!! Being inside your head was intriguing while also being a thorough mind-f*#k, and I still want to shove your fingers down the garbage disposal similar to how you disposed of the frozen vegetables.
I read each page sooo slowly as I didn't want miss a lick of what was going on and while also having to force my eyeballs to not slide to the bottom of each page to find out what was said next.

Psychotic, disgusting, vile, this-woman-should-be-sterilized!
I can't even get into Leah, she is probably one of the worst human beings known to man, she's right up there side by side with the Avoiding Series' Bekah. I can't stand her, she's cruel she does nothing out of love for anyone, in fact I am not sure she is a person who has any heart to speak of. It was hard to read about her almost distaste for her own child, and I know that is part of the story to show us that she really is who she is ...more

This is the first time I have read a book where the main characters point of you was that of a despicable person , and I was in a trance to read more . Tarryn Fisher is a talented author that has the reader hooked by the first sentence. The only bad thing about this book, is that the third book in the series is not yet published and the reader is forced to wait and stew about Leah, Caleb and Olivia , once again. This series SHOULD be on the NYTimes bestseller list as it is an addictive, maddenin

I just finished with the book and I am trying to write a review but I am so mad! I have no answers to anything and it left me just as mad as The Opportunist did. I can't wraith for The Thief. It needed to come out like yesterday!
