LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!! Just as expected, another Kristen Ashley work of ART!!!!! I don't know how she manages it, one after another freaking masterpiece!!! All I can say is that she MUST have some pretty AMAZING men in her life to inspire her incredible male characters!!!! This book had it all though... loved them ALL!!!!! It's a good thing I'm already married... if not she, has TOTALLY ruined me for all other men!!!!!

4.5 Stars!!
Violet and her two daughters, Kate and Kiera have just moved from Chicago to a small town in Indiana. Even though it's only 4 hours away, it's an entire world away from the gangster, Daniel Hart; who killed "Tim" - Violet's husband and father to their two teenage daughters. Now, they're on their own but Hart isn't finished with "Vi" (who caught his eye early on.) Now, he wants her for himself and he sets out to find her.

Kristen Ashley has this ability to write stories that suck you in and keep you there until the bitter end. Her characters are flawed, they’re brutal and their loveable. At Peace is no different.
At Peace is the second in the The ‘Burg Series. One of the things I love about this series is the age of the characters. They’re in their late 30’s and sometimes 40’s. These are characters who have experienced some of life and are still trying to find their way.

Much better pacing with this one, and the big bad faced was again a welcome addition to the main romance. Characters - still good, universe building - still good, main heroine - slightly annoying and very dense. Relationship dynamics between main couple and all other supporting actors in the novel - top notch! Especially the familial ones between Joe and Vi's girls, luvsed it!
Solid and entertaining read, I'm really liking where this series is headed. ...more
