One of my all-time favourite coming-of-age stories. Beautiful, touching and heart-breaking at times (and steamy in others!), watching Nan grow up into who she's supposed to be against all odds is a fabulous read. The characters are realistic and relatable, and a nice mix of tragically boring to outrageous. If you like queer fiction and you haven't read this book, there's a giant hole on your bookshelf! ...more
