Aw yes, my favorite out of this series.

Ignite Me begins right after the last book with Juliette recovering from being shot, Omega Point destroyed, and not knowing if her friends are alive. She wants to take down The Reestablishment more than ever so she has to rely on Warner, the ruthless and handsome commander of Sector 45. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and take down the government, but that isn't all he wants her for.

This series has always been more character and romance driven than a hardcore dystopian and I've always been fine with it, and this book is no different. I have so many issues with the pacing and the plot; but the reason I really loved this book was the further of Juliette's character development, and her romance with Warner.

Juliette keeps growing more and more each book- mastering her power and her mind. To see her grow so much from who she was in the first book to where she is now was absolutely stunning. Some of her ideas for the future were pretty wild (view spoiler) but nothing else matters when I love her character so much. Just like Juliette, Warner's character development is also insanely good and his relationship with Juliette? Oh man. I can't collect enough words to express how amazing and beautiful this romance is. (Not to mention hot ayyy.) They had SO many good moments in this book and I just want to cry, I love them so much. They are everything and I don't care what the plot is, as long as they are a thing.

A super big negative for me was the character Adam. I've never liked him and wow he was ridiculously worse in this one. Every time he talked I wanted to slam the book against a wall and even when I thought he was out of the story, he just walks back in repeating the same bullshit he was already dropping. The contrast in this "love triangle" is hilarious and I'm not even going to call it a real love triangle. Worst character ever; honestly just choke and leave everyone alone, aDaM. I get the point of him though. But speaking of characters I'll have to give Kenji a shoutout. I never gave him much attention in the last books but his friendship with Juliette is some good stuff.

This book, was a lot of... building up to say it nicely. It was a lot of back and forth, people talking, and training until at literally 90% it's time to fight and then it just ends with what feels like a cliffhanger. I can't believe this was ever considered an ending because??? No.

Even with the slow pacing, it did feel like a fast read at least. Sometimes I wish we could get more from this world but then I think about Warner and Juliette otp and I'm okay. So worth the read. ...more

This is disappointing. Not that I wasn't expecting it. It was a fast read considering it's the final "breathtaking" book of a series. Sure coz 85% of it was more of the boring drama session. And here I thought Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi(which I read this year too) has a bland ending. I could give it 5 fresh stars now -_- It becomes less and less dystopian. First, I retract the statement I made in my first reciew that this was the best ending. On my second reading I found that that ending did not satisfy me and I still need more from this series. I mean the bad guy was written as this monster who can't be taken down and nothing can fool him but it takes only one fight to do it?? definitely unbelievable.

I think enjoyment from this book comes down to expectations. I have read both the full length novels in this series (Shatter Me and Unravel Me) and I liked them. Juliette as a character has grown so much. She was fragile and let the world trample on her but now she is strong and holds all the power. Nothing can hurt her unless she lets it. This is such an awesome book. I mean the previous books were already great but this one is the best. A lot has definitely improved. Finally, Juliette had an attitude makeover. I liked her more in this book because she's not so whiny, pessimistic, and scared anymore. She has become really stronger than I thought her powers and character would be. No words can describe how much I love this series and this book in particular. I am reminded, just how powerful Tahereh Mafi's storytelling is, I felt the passion and felt the power of her word choice throughout this whole book, even though I knew exactly how it was going to end. Jeg er simpelthen så sur på den her bog. Det er afslutningen på Shatter Me trilogien og den skuffede noget så fælt. Faktisk kan jeg slet ikke forstå, hvorfor jeg gav den to, fremfor en, i rating. Det føles efterfølgende lidt forkert.
