Split Second had big shoes to fill after the cliffhanger and wave of emotions brought on by Pivot Point! After only a glimpse of abilities/powers coming into play in the previous book, the focus on the characters using their abilities was overwhelming in Split Second. I can't say I enjoyed these parts much, when in the back of my mind I keep questioning how convenient it was for them to use their powers in certain situations. (view spoiler)

*Sigh* This book was perfect! It was a great sequel to Pivot Point and I was so happy with the way Kasie West ended things. It actually brought tears to my eyes when Connor did what he did for Trevor in the end.
I loved all of the characters so much, I even felt for Duke, hoping he could find happiness in the end.
Split Second was told from both Addie and Laila’s points of view. Their voices did blend sometimes, confusing me about whose head I was in, but it was still great.
