I really enjoyed this book.
A probationary police officer, Peter Grant, discovers there are more police channels than the ones he was trained to deal with when he finds the only witness to a murder is a ghost that haunts the area of the crime. The unit he finds himself attached to is a rather exclusive unit consisting of him and his unit leader, the last wizard in England.
