If I were to teach a class on what I call Geek Theology (that is, using popular geek culture to teach biblical themes), this would be one of my go-to textbooks. The author has very thoughtfully considered many of the themes celebrated in Christianity, such as purpose, calling, companionship, and sacrifice, and how they are presented in the Batman legendarium, concentrating mostly the Christopher Nolan films.
