I feel like I would have loved the book had I read it when I was much younger- but nevertheless, I enjoyed it. The plot is fast-paced and entertaining- although quite predictable. A great read for kids, I guess. Plus, Greek mythology is always fun to read about. I will be generous and give it a 5 stars.

I read this book in fourth grade, but I didn't finish the series or read any of the other books, so I decided to start over. I loved this book even more that I'm in tenth grade than I did when I read it back in 2008, when I was in fourth grade. I loved Percy's voice and his sarcasm. If I was a twelve-year-old girl, I'd be all over that, let's be honest here. I loved the world and the characters and the premise.
