As much as I loved the first two books in the Lunarmorte series Blood Solstice was my favorite! It was so well written and sooooo very much going on! Reading the Lunarmorte series was my first introduction to Samantha Young and I have not only read more of her books because of how awesome this series was done but I eagerly look forward to all her future works! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. WHAT AN AWESOME FINISH TO A FANTASTIC SERIES!! Goodness, I finished a few hours ago and I still have this completely satisfied feeling.

I LOVED the action of this book, I didn't think it could get much better in terms of action and suspense and romance, but Blood Solstice took over and wouldn't let me go. I was so involved in the plot that even though I saw how much everyone loved the book and the ending, I still was heartbroken when Lucien died and was crying with Caia when she thought he was de WHAT AN AWESOME FINISH TO A FANTASTIC SERIES!! Goodness, I finished a few hours ago and I still have this completely satisfied feeling.

I LOVED the action of this book, I didn't think it could get much better in terms of action and suspense and romance, but Blood Solstice took over and wouldn't let me go. I was so involved in the plot that even though I saw how much everyone loved the book and the ending, I still was heartbroken when Lucien died and was crying with Caia when she thought he was dead. That was probably my favorite scene, when she was having a panic attack after the battle because she thought she'd have to live without Lucien, and then all of a sudden she hears, "Breathe Caia..." goodness he took my heart with him as well.

In terms of characters, I really started to like Caia in this book. I liked her in the other 2 books but I really started to cheer for her in this book. I loved how self-sacrificing she was and how much of her heart she put on the line for everyone else, I really connected with her. Another first in this book, was how much Lucien annoyed me through the beginning and middle of this book. The lack of trust almost caused me not to like him completely because I was just so tired of hearing it. It took me a while to step back and look at their circumstances and understand his motives, which I'm still slightly leery of, but I will admit that by the end he was pulling on my heartstrings again (as mentioned in above favorite scene!).

Still a SUPERDUPER fan of Jaeden and Jaeden and Ryder. I LOVED her character and I LOVED how loyal she was, even after she blackmailed Caia. I LOVED Vanne. I never paid much attention to him in the other books but boy was I a fan after the truth came out. I also LOVED the hint of future romance with Marion and Vanne (thank goodness Marion was OKAY!) and Reuben and Saffron.

I loved the epilogue with the goddesses, it was a really really entertaining and unexpected concept that Samantha Young added in at the end.

Overall one of my favorite reads this year, I love Samantha Young's writing and will definitely be reading more from her VERY soon.

I am bereft........I loved this book and the series as a whole - and now I've finished it *sob*.

To me, book 3 was far more adult in tone, and given the circumstances of the storyline this was more than understandable. It twisted and turned in ways I wasn't necessarily expecting and I loved the use of mythology woven through the story as well, which brought more depth to the book.

I loved this book...Out of the whole series this has to be by far my favourite! There were far too many 'put in the freezer moments' lol but i think thats why i loved it so much! It ment to me that i had fully got attached to these characters! Now i have to admit i was probably a little to upset that Caia didn't go and do some serious ass whooping on Rose ESPECIALLY when it was discovered what she did! Fantastic 3rd book to this series. I am really excited about how Caia grew in this book and stood up for what she felt was right. Lucien really surprised me in this book for the better, I was not really liking his character and how he treated Caia in the first two books, so was happy how this book panned out with those two. What can I say about this trilogy?

It was A-MA-ZING!!!!

This was probably one of the best trilogies I have read in a long time. I read these three books in FOUR DAYS!!! I couldn't put them down....I loved the characters, loved the action, loved the romance and steamier scenes (and they weren't too in your face or too much). I loved it all!!
