I’ve met Kaneana May a few times at local library events, and I was excited to learn she had realised her dream to publish. Her debut, The One, is an engaging and emotional contemporary novel.

This book had been in my TBR pile for a long time. I was going away for the weekend and needed something on my Kindle and something which was light-hearted. The last book I read made me so emotional I thought this would be a nice romance, smiles all around kind of book.... well - it was but it was also gut-wrenchingly emotional! I enjoyed it and it certainly went deeper than I expected. I am still feeling the emotions from finishing it this morning.
I love a good Bachie reality TV show. I was there for the first season of The Bachelor, and I was there for the latest Aussie season last year. While I love the drama that comes with these types of reality TV series', I'm not naive enough to think that more than 15-20% of what we see on TV is real.
