I had read The Rook some time ago and was quite taken by the surreal world that O’Malley had created. The expectations coming into Stiletto were quite high and the result was mixed.
The first hurdle the reader has to overcome is that the central character from the first novel, Myfanwy Thomas is a secondary character and the two main protagonists are Odette Leliefeld of the Grafters and Felicity Clements of the Checquy.
