I really enjoyed this book. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. The last book that I read by this author was just okay, not great and not horrible.

My only issue (which was minor) was with Bones. (view spoiler) I really liked Bones and the banter between him and Cat.

Very glad I decided to read this series and listend to everyone:)
I loved this book and both charc. are badass,sexy,cocky I love both of there attitudes!
I was drawn in from the beginning to end wanting to know more!
It has just enough action and there is romance but the romance isnt over the top!

Great writing and plot development work along with strong characters and the well-rounded world they’re built around. The plot twists and turns just enough to keep the “plot thickens” feeling without making it feel like the author got lost during the writing.
Cat started out somewhat unlikeable, but ends up a kicka$$ female that does what needs to be done. And Bones is a strong male lead that, while there as obvious beefcake, is also enough of a mystery to keep the reader interested. The interac ...more

First read in March 2012, gave it 5 stars then and still I rate it 5 stars infact I'd rate it higher if I could. I reread this book with my BA buddy Crystal, I hope she enjoyed as much as I did.

Such a hateful relationship in the beginning and the tension between them is what I love most. Bones is such an arrogant sod, it made me chuckle and how much does Cat love Bones:

To say I fantasized about killing him every second of every day was an understatement.

How true are these words in relation to the end of this book and the next one:

We also meet Charles for the first time, Bones best mate.

I loved the scene with Timmie, I was LMAO, Bones asserting his possessiveness in all his glory, makes me go weak at the knees. An old master vampire and a half-vampire/half human team up to kill bad guys - who are mostly vampires, though not all vampires are bad which is something our female protagonist (the half vampire) learns.

This is really a private investigator (not sexy vampire) story. The plot focuses on identifying, locating, preparing for and killing the bad guys.
