I rarely read a book twice but this book is just so fun! The cover art and other artwork is gorgeous adds to the beauty and enjoyment of the book. This book is so much more than I ever thought it would be. I didn't expect it to be a heart-breaker. I am sappy and I am a crier when I read things that touch me emotionally, but that's not why this book hit me the way it did. It touches on SO many themes in life. If you have a mother, had a mother, are a mother, or just think mothers are an all-around swell idea, you will connect with this tale. If you've ever been bullied, well, you get the gist. An excellently written fable revealing that bad vs good and black and white are mere spectrums in stories - and in people.
I loved this book, not for the ending, but in the lessons it took to get there. I love the way it portrays the complications of mankind and our desires and our fears can sometimes intertwine, or perhaps become one and the same.
