I chose an audio version. It is read by Rebecca Lowman and imo, she did a fine job with it.
I like the story, but I do notice the lingo in some of the dialogue doesn`t really fit in with that time frame, being the late 30`s. I made a point of looking for this in other people's reviews here and found I am not the only one who was ticked off with that.
As a result of my snooping, I figured, what the hell, and changed my 4 to a 3! Authors shouldn't get off with that kinda' thing ... not at all - off ...more
