Shelves: bbc-big-read

It is described on the back as being a story about a young James Bond and having now read this I can see why (although I would like to point our that I am basing this on the films as I have not read any of the books).

On the negative side, I felt that Alex lacked a bit of character, when he found out his uncle had been killed there was not emotion there whatsoever. Also some of the plot was a bit far fetched (but I guess Bond can be too!).

Giving this book 4 stars because I am rating it for the audience it is intended for. Definitely written as an action packed spy thriller for young teenage males. It is fun read though and has several twists and turns. It is also a good indictment of school bullying and shows the long term consequences that could result.
