This was fantastic, I liked everything.

First of all, the structure. The story is told in episodes, following the cases of Chris' paranormal detective agency. The cases are not presented in chronological order, so we meet the characters at different stages of their lives, knowing less or more about them case after case. Sometimes it puzzles us, sometimes it makes us more curious, but we keep wanting more.

Want to know what I did when I reached the end of this book? I sighed. Because I was frustrated that it was over, and frustrated to have become obsessed by yet another series when there just isn't enough hours in a week for me to read as much as I want to, damn it. This woman weaves words like her characters wield magic. It's silly, smutty, fluffy, funny and sassy, with just enough mystery. My only regret? That I arrived so late at the party, but that is easily remedied :-) ...more
