What a powerful and beautiful story of family and belonging.

Interestingly, one may think that belonging is reserved to one's family, and yet, one can become apart of another family that is not one's own and belong. How special indeed it is to belong, be loved, cared for, and mostly, share your innermost self --- impartial --- despite different cultures and upbringing.

Moving epic of such detail can only be made into a movie, and I await to see the cast. It would be a shame for these poetic word

The lives of two women, an African girl and a British white woman, converge on a Nigerian beach. Under normal circumstances these two women, from very different backgrounds, would probably never have met. However, the circumstance set forth in this novel, are anything but normal.

The author skillfully pulls you into the mystery of these women’s lives before and after their first meeting. Curiosity, laced with an inexplicable need to piece together the shattered lives of these memorable characters
