Many books are about the advance stages of Alzheimers disease. This book is about the early stages and helps a person realize the difference between "just forgetting" and the symptoms of the disease, which is helpful. My favorite line in the book is "information is control". I totally agree with that and this book helps one have control over whether having a "senior moment" or whether it is something more serious.

Frightening. A look at early-onset Alzheimer's from the personal viewpoint of a Harvard professor who is diagnosed. You experience everything just as she is experiencing it which means you find yourself making excuses for episodes that are obvious signs of the disease. The family dynamics, character insights and ethical issues are perfect for discussion groups.

So sad...written from the viewpoint of a Harvard professor who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Chapters are divided into months and we get a glimpsed into what the disease is like for the victim. The writer herself is a neuroscience professor at Harvard and is works for the Alzheimer's Association. Touching, sad, profound...

Alice is a Harvard professor. She has a loving husband and three adult children. She’s only 50 years old and discovers she has the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. There is so much she still wants to accomplish with her life. As you read the book you know from Alice’s point of view her fear, dread, and horror of what is to become of her and her mind. Several have said this will scare you. I agree because Alzheimer’s is a terrifying disease. Book clubs would find much to discuss and examine. Read Al
