Such an amazing book. So hilarious and so disturbing at the same time.
Heller does deadpan, dark humor better than any writer of books or films I have encountered.
This book draws attentions to the absurdity and horrors of war through what appear to be ridiculous, over-the-top situations and characters; but when you look a little closer, they're not far from the truth. A dead-on take on military life and all its insanity. Hard to imagine how we would get by without the descriptive catchword that the title has become.
