You might think from the rating that the book wasn't enjoyable to read. That would be a mistake. The book is actually hugely enjoyable and flashes by at the speed of light. The premise is interesting and addictive, and I actually do highly recommend reading this one.

The low rating is because, after I thought about it for a while, a lot of the main themes and ideas in the book did not sit well with me. Basically A (the main character) falls in love with a girl at first sight, and creepily decides

Just...wow. If you can deal with the premise (genderless teenager A wakes up every morning in a different body, experiences life in their shoes for a day, does not mind until s/he falls in love with the girlfriend of one of the daily hosts), it's a powerful book. I found it a bit preachy at times; the message of how it's important to love what's on the inside, not on the outside, was occasionally a bit heavy-handed. Every Day was an interesting thought experiment into how leaping from bodies gives 'A' more appreciation for a wider circle of people, less inward focus (as inner persona never developed through persistent relationships... until one day). In the book, 'A' seemed too controlling over the direction of his relationship. Despite that and the abrupt denouement, I enjoyed this YA book. ...more
