What Members Thought
This is a really sweet book about discovering yourself and embracing who you are. It was a tad naive but in a good way. I related to the book and can remember my freshman year in a lot of the same scenarios. I really looked forward to the smart and witty comments from the protagonist, and I felt like the concept was well planned, with the interspersed excerpt from the "fake" novel and the fan fiction. Checked out the book from the library about a week and a half ago. Started reading it this morning and finished tonight. Rowell does an excellent job of making her readers flies on the walls, Nothing felt forced unless and the book read with such ease. Was I annoyed with Cath at points, of course. But that's what I loved about it. I was invested in the characters and I wanted to see them succeed (and in some cases, fail).
