Okay, this is my reaction for the first few chapters of the book:

I've known Julie Kagawa as a badass writer of the Iron Fey series. I hope she really pulled up this "Vampire" novel.

Definite encouragement for others to read. It has all of the qualities I value in this genre: action, a romantic interest, survival skills/self-preservation, a dependable hero and/or heroine, and an ending that can be continued or to leave as it is.

SO good! This is a vampire book that actually makes the vampire a monster, but yet keeps an aspect of humanity throughout all of Allie's ordeal. I can't wait for the next book! ...more
