Unravel Me practically starts out in the same manner as Shatter me did.
Juliette. Confused. Boxed in. Four walls.
Now I know it's unrealistic; I can't expect her to grasp the full potential of her abilities in like three chapters, or even 100 pages, but I could at least hope for her to try and actually set her mind on figuring herself out. But she doesn't do this until like legit 1/2 way through the book and doesn't actually make a decision to really make an impact until the very last page. *sigh ...more

update: Revised rating upon thinking on it overnight 4.5. Err..keep flip flopping between 4.5 and 5
Just finished and I have to give 5 stars because of all the feels this book inspired in me. I see some aspects that I don't love but it was a powerful read and I would never regret reading it and owning it. Such a roller coaster of a book that is so immersive and descriptive just sort of flung my brain around a bit...and I think I liked it.

This is a great sequel, but it's lacking something I can't pinpoint... Hmmm.. And I think I've never been more in love with Warner!! And whoever Juliette chooses between Adam and Warner, I know I will be heartbroken. I still like Adam a lot, because he is the safer choice. The better choice, for practical reasons. He is Juliette's true love. But Warner also brings a lot on the table. He's broken and yet still capable of loving. So I'm begging Ms. Mafi to take it easy on us readers when he time c

I reread this book before starting Restore Me to refresh myself on Warmer/Juliette's budding relationship and it really had me squealing all over again! What a gem of a book. ...more

Thoughts:
Juliette has escaped whatever fate Warner had for her as a tool for the Reestablishment and now has the chance to be amongst those that understand that she is different. At Omega Point, a portion of the inhabitants have gifts and they all work together to make the operation of the facility run smoothly. Though Juliette has her freedom, she feels more trapped underground with them than she did with Warner. At least then she could see the sky. I think if she becomes any more withdrawn, s ...more

Okay, this book should really have just been contempo. The dystopian feel is really NOT working out for me. It's like Juliette's power was just a way for her to be torn between Adam and Warner. I'd choose Warner over Adam, but then again there's Brendan.
I'm only going to read the third book for Warner. :> And Brendan, but I think I'm the only one who cares about him since he seems so cute and adorable. =))
