all i want to say is...
WORST. BOOK EVERRRRR.

oh and BTW, if u look at the cover and the title, dont be decieved since it says "perfect" chemistry, cuz it soooooo isnt... ugh i just cudnt even get past 100-something pages... ugh, just ugh

i mean the main character (brittany) was just sooooo annoying, i mean she constantly complains about her family and stuff, even though shes frikin' RICH, and gets evrything!. gosh. And she's even in the cheerleader squad, i mean i wud like 'heroines' who are fie ...more

I was a tad wary starting this book because it has such good reviews but then it's also cliche. But during my trips to the library, it just kept staring at me until I finally picked it up.
Needless to say, I spent the better half of a night staying up and finishing this book.
It's cliche and there are cliches and some of the writing, starting out, was cliche.

I loved this book! 4.5 Stars!!

I read it in under 12 hours and couldn't put it down!

The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because I like my books hot and steamy and this could do with an injection of sizzling sex scenes!

And even when the couples do eventually get down to it, Elkeles pretty much skims over it and jumps straight to the 'after' part. Having built it up so much and kept us hanging on, I felt a little hard done by.

2.5 stars. So I was trying to remember why I didn't like this book as much as everyone else did, but it's been a while since I read it, sooooo... I looked at some other reviews, and NOW I remember! Yeah, it's the cliches and stereotypes that did it. (Oh, and the epilogue was just, incredibly LAME!) but there are definitely things I did like about Perfect Chemistry. Dear GOD! I keep telling myself to not get blown away by the typical bad-boy-meets-good-girl story but it happens Every. Single. Time!

... Who am i kidding! I'm a sucker for romance. And i love Alex! Man, this book-boyfriend business is getting to be a real pain in the ass. It's impossible to choose one!

Brittany is a perfect girl - beautiful, rich parents, perfect house, designer clothes, drives a Beemer and of course, dates the hottest guy in school. At least that's what everybody sees. Brittany is a perfect girl - beautiful, rich parents, perfect house, designer clothes, drives a Beemer and of course, dates the hottest guy in school. At least that's what everybody sees. Few know of what really goes on behind her perfect image - her crazy mother who wont stop pressuring and stressing her out, telling her that reputation is everything, her father who's always working and never home, her lovely but sick/retarded older sister and the way her life is dictated by the people around her/their expectations. So when Alex Fuentes, a very hot/sexy/bad Latino boy is assigned as her chemistry partner, she immediately hates him, just because he threatens everything she stand for - her perfect life and her perfect boyfriend Colin, who's just a douche, really. But nothing is what it seems and there's more to bad boy Alex than the fact that he is a gang member and everybody says he's always high and kills people. He himself didn't expect that the girl he bet his bike - Julio to get in her pants before thanksgiving, will steal his heart. They experience a beautiful friendship and Brit finally finds it her to stand tall for once in her life and just be herself. She's falling for Alex, and falling hard while he tries to convince himself it was just a bet.

She makes him see, want more out of his life. Not to end up dead like his father. But soon, there's no way out and he gets shot by the very man who murdered his father when he was 6, right in front of his face. He's forced to push Brittany away and returns to Mexico with his family, leaving her heartbroken and in pieces. Until he realizes just where the center of his universe is. And than he goes for it.

4.5 stars for this book and freaken LOVED IT. All the characters were great i was like OMG half the time. This book made me cry, laugh, smile and get violent( i may have thrown my book a couple of times). But it was great, i loved it, hands to the author!!!
