Yes, it did seem like a bit of rehashing of City of Bones but with Will instead of Jace (and other similarities), but I still liked it and will be reading book #2 whenever it is released.

Found the characters dull and not anyone I could relate to. I'm not sure where the hype about this book comes from--its had some promising ideas, but I think it was just a little too YA for me--and I love YA. I really do. I love urban fantasy, and alternate history, but this book just didn't do it for me. It was too generic and not engaging, and the plots were predictable. I think it was just too young for me. Oh... my.... God. This book was better than the Mortal Instruments. I love the old fashioned feeling to this new series and the characters all so loveable. I hope she ends up with *ahem* Jem, but I am totally Team Magnus all the freaking way baby!!!
