Well what to say about this roller coaster of emotions that calls itself The Selection? I have to admit that I really loved this story. It wasn’t a diehard serious deep in-your-face dystopia. It was fun and romantic and less political than most dystopian books. You swoon over Maxon and love the cat fights and the hilarity of the antics of the contest. You grab onto America and secretly hope that she gets her happily ever after with the prince. You want to smack her a few times for being stupid b

In a word Disappointing.
This series started off well and then just fizzled out to its ending.
I found the first three quarters slow and boring. It was only until I got to Maxon's revelation regarding America and Aspen that things improved.
I found Celeste's total turnabout of character so bad it was laughable. That was a real insult to the intelligence of the reader in my opinion.
This series was ok but doesn't warrant the praise it gets from so many people.
And yet again we have a third part i ...more

The ending was kinda okay..kinda not
No words. I love love love it. Some parts were unexpected, some were. I am verrrrrrry happy with this book despite Mer's character having issues. Overall, this was great. I wish it didn't end. I just wanted more.
