I can’t believe I waited so long to read this because it was so amazing. How did I skip over it back during my vampire phase in Korea? So much fun! I listened to the audiobook read by a British man who did an amazing job of all the accents and I was so into the narration that I was happy to do more housework as an excuse to listen to it. How do you review a classic? What is left to say about a book that's been around for over 100 years? Probably not a lot other than my own experience of reading it.

Last year my husband and I saw a very good performance of Dracula during a local theater festival. I was very intrigued by it, and decided to read it for myself once I finished with the current stack. Then I saw it was on the list of 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die (of course), so I finally got around to it.

I had high hopes with this book. The first fifty pages or so were good. Once Dracula left his castle, and the story turned to the journal entries of the other characters, I started to lose interest. Lisa was annoying, Mina was depressing, Seward was boring. I understand that the entirety of the book took place in about six months, and during that time, these people all spent a lot of time together.
