I am so glad I picked up Shadows and met Dawson. He is exactly opposite of Daemon in so many ways. I loved the story. Shadows leads us to understand why Daemon behaves the way he does in Obsidian and also explains all the details of the story between Dawson and Bethany. We meet Dawson in Shadows who is identical to Daemon in every way except for their attitudes. Where Daemon is a jerk Dawson is sweet. Wow, this was so sad but awesome at the same time!
It makes me love daemon even more and I didn't think that was possible.
It was nice to get to know Dawson even though he's gone, he's the reason daemon is the way he is and it's good to finally know why he's like that.
He takes responsibility for everyone and is too hard on himself he's kinda like the father in the triplets relationship.
I love how everyone respects him because of his power-that's wicked!
This book is a must-read it will give you a ...more

this is a prequel to obsidian it is Dawson's story it fills in the holes in his story and tells how he and Beth meet it also explains how they got caught by the DOD and what happen to them it is a good short story
