Skillfully researched and written, and mind-boggling in the sense that almost everything you have heard about the mob or 1950's Havana is true! There really were mobsters named Bugsy and Blue Eyes and they really put hits out on each other! This book was an eye-opener to me that what I assumed were legends that had reached mythic proportions were in fact historical people and places and facts.

This was an interesting read about the history of the US Mafia in Cuba prior to Castro. At times, I felt rather voyeuristic into the lives of these very bad people, but it certainly was a quick and fun read.
I would be interested in talking with people who know more about the Mafia and/or Cuba and seeing if the overall picture of either topic was accurate.
