I can't remember for sure where I heard about David Sedaris from but I am pretty sure it was on the Daily Show. After watching his interview talking about "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" I immediately went out the next day and bought it. Sure enough, it was just as good as I imagined. I love his style of writing and his humor is top notch!

A great collection of essays, better than I remember "Dress Your Family..." Even though the end of the book is about Sedaris quitting smoking, it made me want a cigarette, which I have periodically smoked in the past without making a habit of. So, um, people trying to quit, beware? Otherwise, very funny.

I read this while listening to the audio book. I had never done that before, but it was quite fun. I've become more a fan of listening to David read his books, then reading them myself.

Sedaris is just the gold standard for me. How any one can be so caustic and sweet at the same time amazes me. He is so great!
I always forget how funny David Sedaris is until I open another one of his books.
