Rowling could have suffered the “Titanic” drawback…people spend so long espousing the movie, that in the end, it did not matter that it was actually a good film, you were sick of it before it even began. Her Harry Potter series has billions of readers, blockbuster films, a myriad of toys, collection items, fan fiction, etc. And yet somehow, for every obnoxious fan out there, who dresses like a Ravenclaw and thinks that they are headed for a future as an auror, there are ten quiet fans who recogn

I love love love this book. It ripped my heart out and gave it back at the end.
I meant to read this book slowly, leisurely because the first time I'd read it I'd wanted to devour it. I also didn't want to be spoiled. I tried, but I found that my eyes swept across the page. And I'd somehow forgotten little things.

Wheeeee!!!!!! :)
This is an absolutely FABULOUS book. I don't think I could have asked for a better way to end the series (well, maybe everyone could have lived [or, the good people, anyway]). I was absolutely riveted the entire time; there wasn't a slow part anywhere in the book. The story's full of quests (both physical and intellectual), mystery, betrayal, unlikely heroes... everything you could want from an adventure story. This is by far my favorite Harry Potter book. I was prepared to give this book 4 stars until the last 100 pages, which completely won me over. Initially there was far too much wandering around the woods for me, but when they finally got back to Hogwarts and we got to the climax of the story, it was fully satisfying, exciting, and delightful. Sigh. So sad it's over.
