As I prepared to watch the World Cup 2023, I read this and Abby Wambach's memoir.

Goddamn I love this woman. She is excellence from her platinum/pink/turquoise head to her magical little toes. She just plops a civil rights crash course in the middle of her own memoir like it's nothing while she talks with disdain about anyone who doesn't publicly protest racism and police brutality in America.

I can't really wax eloquent enough. I basically have goddess worship of this woman. She holds her family

I knew Megan was a great athlete and straight talking badass, but after reading this book which also led me to asking google about stories about her, she is so much more. She is a badass that stands up to bullies and stand up for issues such as equality, equal pay, racial justice even when it means complications to her own life and damage to her career. And did I mention she is such a badass - we need more badasses like her!
