What Members Thought
I usually enjoy audiobooks of comedians reading their memoirs, but this one left me meh. Maybe you have to be a Jimmy O Yang fan to appreciate this, but I found it neither funny nor touching. There are some familiar elements about the immigrant experience that are important to document, but Yang does it almost flippantly, seeming to use the same disparaging comments about his father as a white quasi-racist would. Fun audiobook! I appreciated his insights on the immigrant experience in America, and he seems like a super nice guy. A few parts were repetitive, but overall it was well done.
