For every white person pearl-clutching when Black people protest, for every liberal with Black friends wondering "why she mad, tho?" Carol Anderson gives you...White Rage.

Enjoying and benefiting greatly from Anderson's other work, One Person, No Vote, I was excited to jump into another one of her books. She has mastered brevity and clarity on massive issues, and I recommend both these books highly for their accessibility in tackling major social controversies.

Everyone should read this. Carol Anderson describes in painstaking detail and with many, many references the history of the racial divide in the U.S. While it is frustrating to read how deep and far reaching the problems are, it is necessary in order to address them.
