When I was a senior in high school the first war in Iraq began. I remember it seeming glamorous and frightening all at the same time - frightening because I knew people in the military who were in that part of the world, and glamorous because of all the sexy media coverage on tv, especially on CNN (anyone else remember the Scud Stud??).
