What a fun book! All the questions my inner eight year old has about the world answered with a side of wit. Very funny and enlightening.
This is exactly what it purports to be and it's so much fun. A gleeful little romp through intellectual exercises and doing the actual math on ridiculous scenarios. The writer of the xkcd comics brings the expected snark and deeply nerdy knowledge to questions of astrophysics, technology, chemistry, and whatnottery. Nothing you actually need to know to be found here...but it's way more fun that way.

A joy to read. Irreverent.
I can't even remember why I bought this book. It was probably the cover. I mean, look at it! And even though it is full of math and science and stick figures, it was full of down-to-earth explanations and hilarious footnotes. I'm one of those "liberal arts" people Munroe warns on his website.

Absolutely wonderful! This book will make you think, make you smarter, and make you laugh (if you have even a slightly nerdy sense of humor). Very much recommended.
