Like any well written thriller, The Girl on the Train hooked me early and cornered my time. Structurally reminiscent of Gone Girl, this novel's characters were equally fascinating and unlikeable. Though distinct in personality and personal histories, the voices of the three young women narrating the story sounded too alike in expression. Dar vienas įrodymas, kad tai kas patinka daugeliui nebūtinai yra visuotinis gėris. Net 3 žvaigždutės yra šiek tiek per daug, nes galbūt daugiausiai, ko yra verta ši istorija 2,5 žvaigždutės. Visiškai paviršutiniškas alkoholikės Reičelės charakteris, toks išplaukęs ir nerandantis sau vietos Skotas bei protiškai neįgali vietos policija, neįtikina, kad ši isorija bent kiek panaši į Hičkoko bet kurį trilerį. Visiškai pervertintas kūrinys, kurį tenka užbaigti vien dėl to, kad nesinori mesti įpusėjus.

i have never been a thriller reader and this debut thriller will not give me a go. the plot line is weak, characters are boring, the novel itself is b/w. if you are looking for an intriguous novel, step aside as you will know who killed who in page 100 probably. however, the protagonist is well made, but doesn't hiding behind an alcoholic story teller show how weak the writer's talent is? i would suggest to quit writing and let this book be the sole piece of prose ever published.

I was surprised that I could guess some details of the finale of this psychological thriller. Quite dissapointing! I'm usually bad at that. However, I wonder if that's me getting better at guessing and having more experience in reading these kinds of books, or if I had too many high expectations for it. Fortunately, the book was well-written, easy to read, and quite a page turner.
