Why nobody talks about how racist this book is? And I’m not talking about the language (because of course what is considered offensive today may not have been considered offensive in the 60s) but the attitude and stereotypes used in this book: a physical assault of a Black man, a sexually aggressive Latino man, constant comparison of the MC’s hungover face with other races.
