I had some real issues with this one, but I am still so glad I bought it. On one hand, it's every girl's fantasy to get singled out by a Prince and wear pretty dresses. This book fulfills that dream. But then again, there are some serious problems when a love triangle gets drawn out for three books, rebel attacks get pushed to the side, and the end to a three part series makes the series feel like it could have been written in one book.

America makes a lot of progress in this book. Too bad it doesn't happen until...oh the last 25% of the novel. Aren't two previous books enough time to make a choice between two men? Especially when it's pretty clear who the final choice is going to be? Apparently not. America is STILL (yes still) struggling to pick between Maxon and Aspen. What the...?

Also, as far as their relationship goes, I think it takes about fifty steps backwards before everything gets magically resolved by three words. Yeah, guess the words. Phooey. Also WHY IS THERE STILL SO MUCH FOCUS ON THE STUPID BACHELOR FEELINGS. The catty girl nonsense and Maxon loving. Whatever. I want one where all the girls end up bonding and ganging up on the whole system. Much better.

And GIVE ME THE REBELS! Why is the entire series lacking in this department? I want more political turmoil and dystopian drama. No more of this "he loves me, he loves me not" junk. Give me the political upheaval and a revolution. Give me America Singer beating the pants off of everyone. Yes, this book was disappointing in many ways. There was no real feeling of change. Boo.

Finally, why does half the country hate America for a second, and then fall in love instantly? It was like a patch job. And the end? It was like the author realized "oops nothing has happened yet, and I need to finish the book." There was too much blurry action, overdone romance and America becomes too perfect. The other two books seemed pointless compared to the speed of the end. Why a trilogy if the end was going to be so anticlimactic? It was just disheartening. And way, WAY too predictable. It ends just how everyone wants it to. It was a good series and I enjoyed it, but it fell apart in the end. ...more

Puede que haya sido el libro que más me ha gustado de los tres. Aunque sigue el mismo esquema de los anteriores y no hay grandes giros (sólo alguna sorpresita) mantiene el ritmo y engancha como el resto o incluso más. Simple. Sweet. Lovely

Oh gosh, what a bundle of fluff! What a cute story! When I started this series I never thought it would be such a sweet ride. The One concludes the Bachelor Prince special. Its plot is simple yet the romance pulls you in the most. Before you know it your "awwing" towards the end.

I feel it's a book to read after a heartbreak. If you want just a sweet series than this is the book for you.

One con is that the ending seem rush and the rebel plot was a bit weak for me. ...more
