So, I’ve read the first two books about 10 years ago, when they originally came out. I am not sure why I didn’t pick up this one at the time, could be it wasn’t out yet and I got distracted and fell into a slump I can’t say, but I figured I should pick it up because it was bothering me that I didn’t finish it. And yes I know there is another book, but this is the original intended ending.

Finally a Dystopian trilogy that didn't fall flat. I really enjoyed watching Day adjust to his new life and struggle with his impending death. I was glad that June didn't ever really settle into life as a politician. I never thought that was right for her and I was glad to see she agreed. I was happy with how all the character's stories wrapped up, even Thomas. This book wasn't quite as suspenseful and action-packed as the other two, but Day and June were in different circumstances from the begi

I don't care for Marie Lu's world-building. She seems to be all over the place, and she can't make up her mind how she wants her stories to go. I thought the chemistry between June and Day was forced; I couldn't see how there was anything between them except physical attraction and even that felt shoved down the readers' throats. The plot of Champion was a series of random mishaps and events leading to a pointless war and lame conclusion. Some of her dystopian world made no sense, either--how in

A very satisfying ending to a great trilogy. I just love the two leads, June and Day, so much. Marie Lu's writing pulls you into the characters' emotional journeys in a real, exhilarating, moving way.
