Cinder is a teenage cyborg that has no memory of her life as a child.
She lives with her stepmother, who is far than glad to share a house with Cinder, her two stepsisters, with one of whom she is actually friends, contrary to the original fairytale, and her loyal android Iko.

Lihn Cinder is a cyborg mechanic with a rough life who gets sucked into medical research and inter-planetary intrigue.

The book's first couple of chapters start off really sci-fi(y). I couldn't figure out what Cinder was, but the sci-fi stuff gets less sci-fi after a couple chapters or you just get used to it. I read it with my mom and she said it was a mix of the Hunger Games, Cinderella and Minority Report. It's a cute story, that is predictable but a fun dystopia Cinderella read. ...more
