Wow! I actually liked Prodigy as much, if not more, than Legend. It definitely didn't feel like some second books in a series do sometimes - just filler before the final book or event that everything is building up to. There was a lot more character and plot development, which is like a lot of second books, but there was also a lot going on. Definitely not a lot of lag time in this one.

09/18/2019: Read for the second time. Audiobook this time.
I'm still not entirely sold on this series. I don't fully buy the June/Day dynamic, and I think that Marie Lu borrows too heavily from other sources (the capital is in Denver? Really?). I think Prodigy was better than Legend in that it didn't drag as much and introduced life in the Colonies (for about a second), but overall I'm still meh on the series. Truthfully, I like the secondary characters better than the main characters and I think my lack of interest in June and Day is what is putting me
