I can't believe I waited so long to read this series! I loved the first book!
Even though this one is super good, I did not enjoy it as much as the first one. I don't the relationship between Tobias and Tris in this novel. They don't trust each other. They should be looking to each other for support, but instead they are hiding information and going in opposite directions. Both people felt kind of selfish in the relationship.

There's a lot I don't like about this book. It gets bogged down too often in teen angst and sloppy writing. I'm giving it a 4 star rating anyway, though, because I also find much of it to be particularly relevant to our current political climate.

This was the first trilogy I've read where the second book was not even the tiniest bit disappointing!
