What Members Thought

This quasi post-apocalyptic series is not quite as clever as Hunger Games or Uglies or even Shattered, but it still holds my attention and for the intended YA audience I think it succeeds. I did want to slap Beatrice or pull her hair quite a few times because I think much of the conflict could have been avoided if she was more trusting but I guess that's one of the messages that Roth is sending to her readers and maybe that is a life-lesson to learn the hard way. It's certainly not one of my fav

Well, that was a cliffhanger ending if I ever did see one.
I'm a little mad that I now have to wait until October to read the last book in the series. I really don't think I can last that long. Even though I didn't like this book as much as the first, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm dying to know what happens next!

Again, not sure why I liked it.
The plot makes no sense, the girl was starting to really annoy me, and although I read the first book, Divergent a few weeks ago I couldn't remember half the characters.
The relationship part was also annoying how they were constantly hurt/angry with each other.
But I still liked it. Maybe I was being hormonal today because I even teared up in some places.
Obviously this isn't Shakespeare or anything but I thought it was fun. ...more
