Not as good as Divergent, but a solid entry in her trilogy.

I engrossed myself in this book when I got it in hopes that it would be like the first one. I am not totally disappointed but I must say there was some lacking moments in the book and points where the story just dragged. I got to a point while reading where I just wanted to put it down. I also wondered why there was so much fluff put into the novel. There were things that weren't needed and things that needed more explaining. Well, that was a cliffhanger ending if I ever did see one.
I'm a little mad that I now have to wait until October to read the last book in the series. I really don't think I can last that long. Even though I didn't like this book as much as the first, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm dying to know what happens next!
Just like the first one, there was still a lot of death in this book. And, can i just say how much I hate Peter? He may have saved Tris from dying, but he did it for all the wrong reaso ...more

This would actually be 3.5 stars. I liked it more than Divergent and am interested to see what happens in the next book.
Might be a good recommendation for students who liked the Hunger Games series and are looking for something similar.
A real page turner. Exciting story with a whopper of a cliffhanger for an ending. Looking forward to the final book in the trilogy.
