Sooooo beautiful, sad, heartwarming (and yet heartbreaking), funny, intelligent....

This is the second John Green book that I have read. I admire Green's writing. He writes honestly and deals with real life situations and emotions that make me feel. I'm an adult and I don't have cancer, so it could be argued that of course I don't connect with the characters. But I believe I connect better with the characters at my age than I would as a teenager having death and sickness in my family, and being more aware of it at my age than I would have been as a teenager. I really liked Haze ...more

What a great story. When you read a story where the two main protagonists have cancer, you figure you may run into some sad moments. But what I didn't expect was to read a book filled with such fun dialog (reminded me of the way they conversed on Gilmore Girls) and such touching moments. It was a story of a girl and a boy, but also a story of a girl and her family and I think that's one aspect of the story I fixated on and related to most. I loved the scenes between Hazel and her parents and how ...more

This is a fantastic book! I LOVED it. It is on my list of favorites for sure. The characters are sweet. The story is sad, realistic, and touching. And the thoughts and feelings of the book are right on. Such a good read!!! Highly recommend it!

I could not put this book down. I had to know what happened and definitely rushed through it faster than I should have. This is a book that requires savoring. It is certainly not action-packed. A re-read will occur in the near future so I can better enjoy this writer's style.

Hazel is a young adult who has suffered more than most young people her age. While attending a support group for teens with cancer, she meets Augustus. The story follow the development of their relationship, but it is no no

I have to say, I was a little disappointed in this book. It didn't grab me and make me not want to stop reading. I didn't fall in love with the characters and the storyline was just meh.

Just my opinion, but I don't understand why there is all this hoopla.
